Product Name: Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) Production Line
  product manual:
Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL for short) is a new type of man-made lumber made of small-diameter lumber and low-quality logs as the main raw materials, which are glued along the grain assembly. LVL not only retains the natural characteristics of wood, but also has structural characteristics that solid wood sawn timber does not have. It has small strength variability, high allowable design stress and good dimensional stability. Products can be used in building components, building interior decoration, furniture, automobile and train car panels, container panels, etc. LVL can also be used in formwork beams, columns, joists and sleepers, etc., with a wide range of applications. The research of LVL as a new type of sheet material began in the early 1970s. First, foreign research institutions developed the manufacturing technology of laminated veneer at almost the same time, and then Finland built the first LVL production line in 1976. At present, there are 19 LVL production lines and factories in Japan. In addition, Australia, South Korea, New Zealand, South Africa and Russia all have industrialized production of LVL. The Institute of Wood Industry, Chinese Academy of Forestry completed the development of LVL in 1988 and passed the appraisal in the same year. At present, 40% to 60% of LVL is used in the construction industry, such as wood structure houses. Therefore, laminated veneer lumber has matured in developed countries such as Japan and Europe, while China is still in the development stage.
